Presigna Refund and Cancellation Policy

This policy applies to the paid products in the Terms of Service: membership for biotechs and the field subscription for buyers. If the Korean and English versions differ, the Korean version governs.

1. General

  1. Free features (basic participation, free accounts, the first answer draft, and use during a pilot period we select) involve no payment and are not refunded.
  2. Requesting membership or visiting a payment page creates no charge. Paid use starts on payment (card approval or receipt of funds).
  3. There is no automatic renewal. We send a renewal notice 7 days before the term ends.
  4. Refunds go back the way the payment came: card payments are canceled through KG Inicis and PayPal payments through PayPal; bank transfers are returned to the sending account.
  5. Send refund requests to contact@presigna.com. Within 3 business days of receiving a request we tell you whether and how much we refund, and within 3 business days of that decision we cancel the payment or send the transfer. When it reaches you depends on the card company’s or PayPal’s schedule.

2. Membership for biotechs (Korea, KRW)

  1. Cancellation within the first 14 days: if a biotech cancels within 14 days of its first membership payment (card approval date or date funds are received), we refund the full amount paid, including VAT. This does not apply to renewal or re-joining payments.
  2. Monthly membership after that: cancel at any time; we refund the remaining days of that billing period pro rata. A billing period runs from the payment date to the day before the same date in the next month, and the refunded supply amount is monthly price × remaining days ÷ actual days in that billing period.
  3. Annual prepaid membership after that: cancel at any time. The refunded supply amount is the annual price − months used × the monthly price, and not less than zero. The month in which use started counts as one month. Example: a biotech that paid KRW 3,000,000 for a year and cancels in its fourth month receives KRW 3,000,000 − 4 × KRW 300,000 = KRW 1,800,000 (supply amount).
  4. VAT: refunds are calculated on the supply amount (excluding VAT), and the VAT on the refunded portion is added. We issue an amended tax invoice.
  5. Effect of cancellation: paid use ends on the day of cancellation and the biotech remains in basic participation.
  6. Memberships bought for several companies at once by an institution: the calculation above is made separately for each company.

3. Field subscription for buyers (including overseas)

  1. Before first access: we refund the full amount paid. If you received access (an account login or a connection key for your AI tools) but never used it, request within 14 days of receiving it and we refund in full.
  2. What first access means
    • Access by account or AI tool connection key: the first time that access is used (server record).
    • Paid materials sent by email before such access exists (briefs and answers): each is treated as used when received, so first access is the delivery of the first paid material. Before sending it, we tell you that it cannot be refunded once received.
    • Visiting the payment page and completing payment are not first access.
  3. After first access: no refund.
  4. If we miss our commitments: for each month in which we miss question delivery (within 2 business days) or status replies (within 5 business days), or access is down for more than 3 days in the month, we extend the term by one month.
  5. If we end the Service: we refund the remaining part of the term that can no longer be used, pro rata.
  6. Serious failure by Presigna: if access is down for more than 7 consecutive days, or we miss the commitments in paragraph 4 in two consecutive months, and we do not fix it within 14 days of the buyer’s written request, the buyer may terminate. We then refund the remaining term pro rata.
  7. 90-day paid evaluation: the rules above apply. If you switch to an annual subscription within the 90 days, the amount paid is deducted from the annual price.
  8. Effect of cancellation: cancellation stops the next payment only; the paid term runs to its end. Access ends when the term ends. Materials already seen are used only within the purpose of the contract and not redistributed.
  9. Taxes and transfer fees: taxes follow the treatment stated on the invoice (Terms of Service, Section 9), and each party bears its own international transfer fees.

4. Rights under the law

The Service is provided between businesses. This policy does not reduce any right the law gives users, and where the law gives users a more favorable right, the law applies.
